This home welcomes up to 2 pets for an additional fee of $25 per day per pet ($175 minimum) plus tax. Pets shall be limited to (2) domestic, housebroken adult dogs (no puppies). Puppies are defined as dogs less than 18 months of age.

A limited number of Early Check Ins (1pm) are available for a fee of $200 (plus tax). Don't wait, add Early Check In to your stay today! Early Check In requests must be added to your reservation no later than 14 days prior to check-in.

Paws in the Sand

Had a fantastic vacation at Paws in the Sand. Location was perfect. The backyard was purrfect for our pups. Home was clean and well furnished. Would rent this home again.

Great House

Our family really enjoyed our time at this beautiful home. It was clean and very comfortable. It had a great backyard for our son?s dog. This house was a short walk to the beach. It was very well maintained. The only thing to be aware of is that it has a lot of steps if you have someone with mobility issues. We will definitely be coming back to this house!

I dream.of this house!!

This is the 2nd year in a row we have rented this home and have a deposit down for next year. This house makes us feel at home and exactly what we are always looking for. We have rented multiple homes in the OBX for over 40 years. This is by far our fav. It has plenty of room for 8 of us, fun amenities, great for the dogs and nice access to the beach. The house is always very clean, well stocked and comfortable. Thank you for sharing your home with my family!! We were very dad to leave and was hoping to rent again in October, but it is already booked. Also, I personally appreciate the minor rise in price from last year. That just makes me feel more like we belong in this home!!

Nice House

Nice house, could have been cleaner-dog slobber on the sliding glass window, no TP left in downstairs bathroom, lots of white dog hair on furniture in the Living room upstairs. Kitchen was well stocked, fenced in yard was great for the dogs, beautiful beachy decor & we appreciated the Fridge on the bottom level. I would recommend!

Are dogs allowed on the beach?

Answer:

Dogs are permitted on public beaches in Kitty Hawk. The owner/handler is responsible for and must remove feces and possess a bag/container for waste removal at all times. From the Friday before Memorial Day until the day after Labor Day between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. dogs must be on a leash not exceeding 6 feet.

At all other times during the year, dogs must be restrained on a leash retractable to 12 feet. Dogs may be taken off the leash only if they will not disturb other people on the beach. Unleashed dogs must be controlled by the handler, who must remain within 30 feet of the dog at all times. A leash must be with owner/handler at all times.

Violation of any of these rules shall be a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $50.00.
